How a cabin refurbishment runs

  1. 1

    Assessment

Recording the current condition, photo documentation and agreeing the scope of work.

  2. 2

    Underbody & corrosion

Removing add-on parts, rust removal and corrosion protection on the underbody.

  3. 3

    Paintwork

Preparation, priming and top coat in the colour of your installation.

  4. 4

    Glazing & interior

Replacing windows and refurbishing seats and upholstery.

  5. 5

    Final assembly

Refitting add-on parts, final inspection and handover ready for acceptance.

03 Second focus area

Ropeway inspection – quality in focus.

We inspect on two levels: the individual component and the entire installation. Both from a single source, both documented.

Level 1 · Component

Non-destructive testing (NDT)

Whether ropeway components, machine or plant parts: depending on the method, non-destructive testing (NDT) reveals cracks, surface defects and internal material flaws – without damaging the component.

Inspect. Detect. Make it safe.

  • VT

    Visual inspection

    Surface · direct and indirect

Systematic visual and dimensional inspection of the surface for cracks, wear, deformation and corrosion. It comes first in every inspection chain and decides where to look closer.

  • MT

    Magnetic particle testing

    Surface & near-surface

The component is magnetised; the test medium gathers in the leakage field above a crack and traces it. The standard method for ferromagnetic parts such as grips and sheave assemblies.

  • UT

    Ultrasonic testing

    Volume · wall thickness

Injected pulses are reflected by discontinuities and evaluated as an echo. This reveals flaws deep inside the material – in axles, bolts and welds.

Every inspection is recorded and handed over as a test report.

Level 2 · Installation

Inspection, expert reports and certification.

We handle the statutory inspections and the documents that go with them together with our partner engineering office – from a single source, so you do not have to coordinate two contacts.

Inspection and documentation

  • Ropeway inspection under SeilbüV 2013 (Austrian ropeway inspection regulation)
  • Safety report (Sicherheitsbericht)
  • Ropeway engineering expert reports
  • Extensions and conversions under §20
  • Rope inspection (MRT – magnetic rope testing)
  • AMVO inspection (Austrian work equipment ordinance)

Overhaul, certification and projects

  • General overhaul
  • Certification of safety components under EU Ropeway Regulation 2016/424
  • Project development for ropeways, surface lifts and alpine tourism
  • Project management

These services are provided together with our partner engineering office for ropeway technology.
